When a person dies having made a Will the Executors obtain a Grant of Probate.

When a person dies without having made a Will this is called an Intestacy and the Administrators obtain a Grant of  Letters of Administration.

Executors and Administrators are also known as Personal Representatives.

A Grant of Probate and a Grant of  Letters of Administration are Grants of Representation.

When someone you love dies you will want a person to help you who is kind and sympathetic and thinking of your welfare.

You will also want the person who helps you to be experienced and knowledgeable so that matters proceed with the minimum distress and the minimum expense.

If you are an Executor of a Will, or if no Will was made, we can help you and save you from the stress of obtaining a Grant and dealing with the worrying formalities required to complete the Estate Administration.

All our appointments are in the comfort of your own home which makes completing the procedures as easy as possible for you.

Unlike those who charge up to 5% of the gross value of the estate and/or up to £375

(minimum fee £1,000) plus the fees and disbursements for obtaining the Grant (generally £175 plus VAT and Probate Registry fees £273). For further information please see our Fees page.
